API Product Manager

Who You Are

You are an experienced product manager looking to develop your career at the world's leading provider of digital content. Your career to date has made you an expert in the field of API delivery and subject matter expertise in media, corporate and agency. You have direct knowledge of how APIs fit into a solution for existing companies as well as how new digital companies are leveraging APIs to bring new products to market. You have a deep knowledge of API and web services trends, and the kinds of product developments and enhancements that will position Getty Images to grow even further in this space.

You have an instinct for product development, an empathy for customer needs, and love working in teams to find and implement solutions. You also know how to back up your judgement with great analysis, and articulate a plan clearly. You will work as part of the product team in our New York HQ, helping to optimize the current API offering, and introduce developments to support existing customers as well as grow a new customer base. You are comfortable in a fast paced environment, a great team player and willing to roll up your sleeves to get stuff done.

Your Next Challenge

The Product Management team is responsible for the creation, development and management of products across the organization. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally to optimize current products, as well as contribute to the launch of new products to meet customer needs.

• Analyze trends by region, customer segment, distribution channel, content source and product line to strengthen market position and identify potential opportunities
• Produce actionable reporting and analysis on a regular basis and ad hoc, as necessary, and in particular to develop business cases for new product initiatives
• Define and manage product roadmap, prioritizing features in line with company strategy and market opportunities Work across multiple departments, including Content, Operations, Sales, Business Intelligence, Finance, Marketing and Technology to help drive overall product performance, and to develop understanding of product development needs
• Support definition of customer use cases, translating use cases into detailed requirements when necessary Contribute to product training and other product related initiatives as required from time to time

Solicit direct feedback from Getty Images customers in order to align product features to meet market demand

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in delivering products to market (with an emphasis on API, Web Services and digital product management)
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong grasp of web-based systems, procedures and workflows
• Experience in media distribution, content licensing, or intellectual-property based business desirable.
• Experience defining and implementing new business models
• Must be able to manage multiple and complex projects simultaneously
• Excellent time management/task prioritization skills
• Relevant Degree preferred
