C++ Software Engineer

AlchemyAPI is seeking a talented and adventurous C++ Software Engineer to join our Semantic Technologies group. We're looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment, with a strong interest in semantic, linguistic, and A.I. technologies. This position involves working with world-class linguisitic & semantic technologies, big data analysis, web service APIs, and machine learning algorithms. Applicants should have a solid understanding of C++, STL, and Linux software development, with a strong background in mathematics (probability and statistics).

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong C++, STL, Boost expertise
• Solid understanding of object oriented software design concepts.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of GNU Linux and GNU software development.
• Understanding of Agile / XP software development methodologies.
• Experience developing multithreaded applications.

Educational Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Mathematics background (probability & statistics).
• 3+ years of experience building scalable software systems using C++.
• CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, etc.
